OGDEN, UT – Students from local high schools got a behind-the-scenes look at modern manufacturing careers during ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄βs (ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄) Manufacturing Day event, held Oct. 9.Β
The event gave students the chance to tour two major employers β ENVE Composites and Williams International β where students saw firsthand the types of careers that begin with training at ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄.Β
The goal of the event was to inspire students to consider careers in manufacturing and to introduce them to high-growth industries like Machining, Composites, and Automation Technology.Β

βManufacturing Day is an annual event that showcases modern manufacturing to high school students to inspire them to pursue careers in the field,β said Andrew Perry, a manufacturing program recruiter at ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄. βWe hope students gain an interest in the companies we toured and can make the connection that these are viable careers to pursue.Β
Following the tours, students returned to ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄βs Collette Mercier campus in the Business Depot Ogden (BDO) to meet with program instructors and explore ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄βs manufacturing programs through hands-on activities.Β
Manufacturing Day is just one-way ΒιΆΉΤ΄΄βs introducing students to the world of manufacturing. At Ogden-Weber Tech, programs are aligned with local workforce needs, giving students the tools, experience and confidence to step directly into high-demand jobs.Β
